The project:

Helicon approached Sparrowhawk and Heald to project manage the content production for two products - a GCSE revision quiz book, and a GCSE web site.

GCSE Revision Quiz Book
S&H commissioned a team of subject-specialist teacher authors to write a series of quiz questions based on GCSE syllabi. The questions were submitted to S&H, and were checked for curriculum relevance, and edited to Helicon's style guide.

GCSE Web Guide
S&H's team of editors researched over 1000 web sites containing subject information relevant to and appropriate for GCSE student revision. The websites were assessed for suitability and reliability as well as curriculum relevance, and a brief synopsis of each was written. The web site URLs plus the evaluations of each site were submitted to Helicon. Helicon was responsible for the printing and publishing of resources, in book and web site format.

Outcomes:

The two books, The Hutchinson GCSE Revision Guide, and the Hutchinson Guide to GCSE Web Sites have since been published by Helicon.
