The project:

Indigo Web is a complete school website service. Designed and hosted by Indigo Learning Ltd, it enables schools to manage and update their own websites quickly and easily from any Internet connected computer. Indigo Web is currently in being trialled in several schools and the service is growing. Sparrowhawk & Heald have been influential in its development to ensure it is a service that meets teachers' needs.

Sparrowhawk & Heald worked closely with Indigo Learning offering consultancy to schools to help them design and develop a website that suits their needs. Once the site is in place, Sparrowhawk & Heald then offered staff training to schools to furnish teachers with the skills they need to take charge of the site.

These training sessions provided:

An introduction to the re-developed site and a look at what the site offers the different types of user.
A demonstration of the site and how to add/edit content.
A plenary session looking at any difficulties that the teachers may have, providing an opportunity to review the service and identify areas for development.

Outcomes:

Since the initial training Sparrowhawk & Heald continues to be in constant communication between the two parties to solve any problems that arise, allowing for the successful re-development and updating of a website that is now able to be run by the teachers themselves.
